Everwood is Forever Gone

Farewell to another show...

It was a show that did not get a lot of playing time. The WB continually changed its time and date and enjoyed taking it off the air for months at a time. As a result, the show did not do so well in the key demographics. for those of you who saw the series, you will admit that it was entertaining without the "sex." It was a show about femilies dealing with problems and resolving those problems. It was a show about a family dealing with death and coming to terms with their lives. Most of all, it was a show about life - and the quirks that life throws our way.

Sure, the acting was sub-par at times, but all in all, the last four (4) years have been entertaining.

This is just another example of a show that had to fight for it's life on the "new" UPN/WB network. There is an interesting article on the Mercury News website (http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2006/06/an_everwood_far.html).

I am happy that 7th Heaven is around for another year, but I am surprised that Everwood was not picked back up. That together with the loss of Charmed may turn out to be a huge mistake for the fledgling new network.

jamie- if you openly admit to loving 7th heaven, steph and jay will make fun of you.

wait, maybe it was the downloading of the song and playing it on their voicemail that made me a target for funpoking. i LOVE that show. and used to watch it in rerun from 6-7 on the ABCFAM channel.
